Prompt and Precise is a trading name of Prompt and Precise LLP. Our registered address is Badgers Rise, Woodley, Reading, RG5 3AJ.

The information set out in this policy is intended to guide you through the data we collect from you, the way we process that information, how long it is obtained for, and the measures we make to protect your personal data.

In accordance to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective as of 25 May 2018, we respect your right to privacy, and are committed to protect and safeguarding personal data supplied to us. As part of our commitment, we have written our privacy policy to inform you of our high standards, and guide you through the data we collect; the way we process data; how long it is obtained for; and the measures we take to protect your personal data.

The information we collect include your name and contact details, including address, telephone number, and email address, as well as your payment information. This information is collected at our payment gateway, or when you email us your information in regard to an order; create an online account; subscribe to our newsletter; and/or participate in a reader’s competition or survey.

The information we collect is what we deem as necessary for order processing and shipping. The information that is provided by you will only be used for the purpose which it is provided, unless you are informed otherwise at the time of giving the information.

We may use your information to provide good and services tailored for your interests if you have requested, and to communicate with you about those goods and services; to operate our site; to comply with the ICO (Information Comissioners Office); and as otherwise permitted by applicable laws.

We may also contact you about your details to manage your account, provide customer service, even if you have opted-out of, or declined consent to receiving promotional emails. We may also contact you if we revise this privacy policy and feel that it is important to notify you about them.

Keeping your data private and secure is our utmost priority. When you request goods from us, you are consenting to the disclosure of your personal information to our partners who may provide such good and services under contract, and to our couriers who ship the goods to you. Our fulfilment house and couriers are both GDPR compliant – who we share customer information via password-encrypted spreadsheets.

We will hold your information on our system for no longer than necessary. After a six-month timeframe, any superfluous information is deleted, or in some cases, anonymised.

security

Our website and server have appropriate technical measures in place to protect against the breach of data by unauthorised persons, as well as accidental loss, destruction, or damage of your information while under our control. However, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk.

Your rights

You are entitled to have access to all of the personal information held by us, and to amend, correct or remove such information. You can also limit, restrict, or object to the processing of your data.

If you have previously given consent to use your data for marketing purposes, but would like to withdraw, please email us at reading@promptandprecise.co.uk. We will endeavour to respond to all enquiries within 5-working days.

If you have any complaints regarding the processing of your personal information, please email us at reading@promptandprecise.co.uk.  In the email, please describe where you think a breach of data protection laws might have taken place.
