HAVE YOU CHECKED?

IS THEre WATER SUPPLY?

At the beginning of the cycle, the machine will gently hum and there won't be a sound of water entering the dispenser drawer if the water supply is off or low in pressure. The water pressure should be around 3bar.

are you overloading the drum?

Check your machines' capacity. This is usually between 6-10KG and describes the amount of wet clothing it can capacitate per wash. As a rough guide. the drum should not be filled more than 2/3 of the way. If a washer dryer, the drying capacity will be less, and you may need to remove clothing to continue.

HAS THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER BEEN CLEANED?

The drain pump filter is found on the bottom right hand side of the appliance and can be emptied by twisting anti-clockwise. The filter may be hidden by a kickboard.

tips and tricks for your
washing machine

To take full advangate of the machines features, we’d recommend using the dispenser drawer which dispenses pre-wash, powder and softener at different times in the cycle. The pre-wash is for heavily soiled clothes and will be drained away at the beginning of the cycle. The softener is an anti-static and reduces lint clumps on your clothing for a softer feel.

Use a cotton draw string bag to keep small items of clothing together and prevent them from blocking the filter or getting stuck within the drum assembly.

Hot washes (around 60+ deg.) are best for killing bacteria in towels and bedsheets, but isn’t suitable or necessary for t-shirts and lighter items that can shrink easily. Wool items should be done on a cold wash. Always check the label on your clothing.

This depends how often you use your machine. For daily use, it’s recommended to check once a month. If you have childen you may have to check more often if you forget to check their pockets before washing trousers!
